How do I wash it?

Machine wash on a 30°C wool cycle with a wool-specific detergent, then dry flat. Avoid tumble drying, as wool can shrink with heat. Once a season is usually enough — wool is naturally self-cleaning.

Is it safe to use in the cot for sleep?

Follow current safe-sleep guidance for loose bedding — for babies under 12 months, many safe-sleep guidelines recommend a fitted sleeping bag over a loose blanket. This blanket works well as a cot or pram layer when supervised, or for older babies and toddlers.
