The YappyIcon cot (131×66×97 cm, mattress size 120×60 cm) is solid FSC-certified oak and pine throughout — no MDF, no veneers. Four adjustable mattress heights (35/45/55/65 cm) take it from easy newborn access down to the lowest position as the baby becomes mobile. The YappyLong-Life system allows four slats to be removed from the front rail when the child is ready to climb in and out independently, extending the cot's useful life well into the toddler years.

The matching dresser (87×43×90 cm) uses the same solid oak and pine and adds three full-extension SoftStop drawers — smooth, silent, and deep enough for everything a growing nursery demands. The Sage Green YappyIcon changing top replaces the dresser's standard flat top, rotating 360° and locking in multiple positions. When the changing phase ends, the original flat top refits cleanly and the dresser continues as a standalone storage piece.

The YappyAir mattress brings OEKO-TEX certified natural latex to both sleeping surfaces — the Latex Gel Thermo Control side keeps the surface cool as the baby falls asleep; the Latex Memory ventilated side provides softer, adaptive support as they grow. Both latex layers are independently certified to OEKO-TEX standard. The mattress is dual-sided, 120×60×10 cm, and fits the cot precisely.

The multipurpose rail completes the long-term cot story. When a side panel is removed to allow toddler access, the rail maintains structural integrity and acts as a protective guard rail during the transition — preventing falls without restricting independence.

The YappyNord Grey changing pad (73×55 cm, 100% cotton cover) sits on the changing top with two included waterproof sheets. Why is the YappyAir mattress included in this set?

The YappyAir uses OEKO-TEX certified natural latex on both sleeping surfaces — both active sides are plant-derived and independently certified free from harmful substances. The Latex Gel Thermo Control cooling side is used from birth, keeping the sleeping surface at a stable temperature as the baby falls asleep. The Latex Memory ventilated side is used as the child grows. If orthopedic spinal support and a natural sisal firm side are more important to you, the same complete set is available with the YappyMemory II mattress instead.

How long will this cot last?

The YappyIcon cot is designed to grow with the child through three distinct stages. From birth, use the highest mattress position (65 cm) for easy newborn access. Lower the base progressively as the baby becomes more mobile. When the child is ready to climb in and out independently — typically from around 18 months — remove four slats from the front rail using the YappyLong-Life system. The multipurpose rail then maintains structural integrity and provides a protective guard rail, converting the cot to a toddler bed. Most children use it comfortably to around age 3.

What does the multipurpose rail do?

When a side panel of the cot is removed to give a toddler independent access, the frame needs structural support — the multipurpose rail provides this. It also acts as a low protective guard rail that prevents accidental night-time falls without restricting the child's ability to get in and out during the day. It fits on either the left or right side and is included in this set as standard.

How does the changing top work with the dresser?

The YappyIcon dresser ships with a standard flat top. The changing top replaces this flat top entirely — the flat top is removed and the changing unit locks into the dresser frame in its place, rotating 360° and locking in multiple positions for comfortable use at any height. When the child no longer needs a changing station, the changing unit is removed and the original flat top is refitted. The dresser is restored to its standard form with no permanent modification.

What is the bedding layering system?

The correct layering is: mattress → YappyShield waterproof fitted sheet → YappyLux satin fitted sheet. The YappyShield goes directly on the mattress and protects it from leaks. The YappyLux goes on top as the surface the baby sleeps on. The set includes one waterproof sheet and two satin sheets — one is always on the cot while the other is in the wash. The YappyNord changing pad includes its own two waterproof changing sheets.

Are all items in the set certified?

The cot complies with LVS EN 716-1:2017 + AC:2019 — the EU standard for children's beds. The wood is FSC-certified. The YappyIcon design carries Patent Office registration No. D 16 001. The YappyAir mattress's latex layers are OEKO-TEX certified. The finish on all wooden pieces is a child-safe natural wood protective wax.
