What age is this canopy suitable for?

The canopy is suitable as a decorative piece from birth. It works above a newborn crib from the earliest weeks, transitions to a toddler bed, and continues as a reading nook or room feature into the school years. It must be installed securely and positioned out of the child's reach at all times — it is a decorative piece, not a safety device.

What makes this canopy different from the Circus and Muslin Check canopies?

This Classic canopy carries both GOTS and OEKO-TEX® certification — the only canopy in the range to hold both. GOTS verifies the cotton is organically grown and processed without harmful substances at every stage of the supply chain. The Circus canopy is OEKO-TEX certified only and uses a cotton and linen blend with illustrated or two-tone patterns. The Muslin Check canopy is OEKO-TEX certified only and uses a lightweight open-weave muslin in gingham and check patterns. If organic certification matters to you, this is the one.

What does GOTS certified mean?

GOTS — the Global Organic Textile Standard — is widely considered the most rigorous organic textile certification available. It covers the entire supply chain: the cotton must be organically grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, and processing at every stage must meet strict environmental and social standards. For a product that hangs in a baby's room around the clock, it is the most meaningful certification to look for.

What is the canopy made from?

100% natural cotton, carrying both GOTS and OEKO-TEX® certification. It contains no synthetic components and no linen blend. The rim is metal and the inner hanging loops are cotton.

How does the canopy attach?

The canopy attaches via two cotton straps at the top, tied to a ceiling hook or looped over a bed frame. A ceiling hook requires one fixing point in the ceiling. Attaching over a bed frame requires no drilling. Always ensure the fixing is secure and the canopy hangs well clear of the child.

Can I hang anything inside the canopy?

Yes. There are cotton straps inside the canopy at the centre top for attaching a garland, mobile, or small decorative light. Always ensure anything hung inside is lightweight, securely attached, and kept out of the child's reach.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash at 30°C. Allow to dry completely before rehanging. Do not tumble dry. Keep away from heat sources and open flames.
