Three deep drawers, solid oak and pine, built for the nursery and well beyond it — the dresser that grows with the room.

FSC-certified solid oak and pine throughout — finished with eco-friendly child-safe natural wood wax; no MDF, no veneers; the same material as the matching YappyIcon cot
3 spacious drawers with SoftStop runners — smooth, silent, full-extension closing; wide enough for folded babygrows, blankets, and everything a new nursery demands
87 cm wide, 90 cm tall, 43 cm deep — compact footprint for smaller nurseries; height works ergonomically for nappy changes when the YappyIcon changing top is added
Add the YappyIcon changing top — the matching solid oak changing unit replaces the dresser's standard flat top entirely, rotating 360° and locking in multiple positions; removes cleanly when no longer needed, restoring the dresser to its original form; available separately on Tiny Tugz

Why parents love it

A dresser is one of the few nursery purchases that genuinely outlasts the baby years. The changing phase ends. The storage requirement does not. This is the logic behind the YappyIcon dresser — a piece designed first as a long-term storage unit, with the changing function handled by a separate top that adds on and removes cleanly, leaving no trace when it is no longer needed.

The construction is the same as the matching cot: solid oak and pine throughout, FSC-certified, finished with an eco-friendly natural wood wax. There is no MDF here, no veneered particle board — the same material all the way through, which is what makes it durable against the daily knocks of a busy nursery and scratch-resistant enough to still look good three years in. The three drawers run on SoftStop runners — full-extension, smooth, and silent, which matters more at 3am than any specification on paper.

The design carries a Y-shape detail in the oak structure — the same letterform that appears as a K in the matching cot. Together they form the YK of the collection's visual identity. It is a small detail but one that makes the set feel deliberately designed rather than assembled from separate pieces.

Features & Benefits

FSC-certified solid oak and pine throughout: no MDF, no veneers — dense, durable, and scratch-resistant; the same material as the matching YappyIcon cot
3 full-extension drawers with SoftStop runners: smooth and silent closing; drawers run to the full depth for maximum storage access
Compact footprint: 87 cm wide × 43 cm deep × 90 cm tall — fits most nursery layouts without dominating the room
Child-safe natural wood wax finish: eco-friendly protective wax — repels moisture, resists dirt, adds a gentle sheen without synthetic lacquers
Y-shape design detail: integrated oak design element that pairs visually with the K-shape in the matching YappyIcon cot — the two pieces form a coordinated set, not just a colour match
Changing top compatible: the YappyIcon changing top attaches to this dresser, rotates 360°, fixes in multiple positions, and removes without any modification to the dresser when no longer needed — available separately on Tiny Tugz
Patent-protected design: original YappyIcon collection, approved by the Patent Office under No. D 16 001
Perfect for: nurseries where storage and longevity matter as much as aesthetics, and parents building a complete matched set with the YappyIcon cot and changing top

What is this dresser made from?

The YappyIcon dresser is made from FSC-certified solid oak and pine throughout — the same materials as the matching YappyIcon cot. Oak provides density and scratch resistance; pine adds natural warmth. There is no MDF, no particle board, and no veneers. The finish is a child-safe natural wood protective wax rather than synthetic lacquer or paint.

Does this dresser come with a changing top?

No — the changing top is sold separately. The YappyIcon changing unit replaces the dresser's standard flat top entirely — the flat top is removed and the changing unit takes its place, rotating 360° and locking in multiple positions for comfortable use at any height. When the child no longer needs a changing station, the unit is removed and the original flat top is refitted, restoring the dresser to its standard form with no modification to the furniture. The changing top is available separately on Tiny Tugz.

Does this dresser match the YappyIcon cot?

Yes — they are designed as a coordinated collection using the same solid oak and pine, the same natural wood wax finish, and the same design language. The dresser features a Y-shape detail in the oak structure that pairs with the K-shape detail in the cot, together forming the YK visual identity of the collection. Available in the same two colourways: White and Sage Green.

What are the SoftStop drawer runners?

SoftStop runners are full-extension drawer runners that slow the drawer in the final few centimetres of closing, preventing it from slamming. They allow the drawer to be opened to its full depth for complete access to the back of each drawer. Silent and smooth, which is particularly relevant in a nursery environment where noise matters.

How deep are the drawers, and what do they hold?

The dresser is 43 cm deep, with three full-extension drawers running to the full internal depth. All three drawers are the same height and comfortably hold folded baby clothing, blankets, muslins, and nursery essentials. The 87 cm width gives each drawer a generous opening.

Can I use this dresser without the changing top long-term?

Yes — and that is the intention. The dresser is designed to function as a standalone storage piece before, during, and after the changing phase. The changing top attaches and removes without any permanent modification, so the dresser looks and functions exactly the same with or without it. Many families keep it as a clothes dresser through the toddler and primary school years.

What colourways are available, and do they match the cot?

The dresser is available in White and Sage Green — the same two colourways as the YappyIcon cot. Both share identical specifications and materials. The Sage Green variant includes a sage-painted MDF panel detail with natural oak elements; the White variant uses white-painted MDF with the same oak detailing.

Where is this dresser made?

The YappyIcon dresser is designed and made in Latvia by YappyKids. It carries Patent Office registration No. D 16 001 as an original certified design.
