Why parents love it

The Modustep is designed for families who want practical functionality without compromising on aesthetics. Its geometric, modular-inspired silhouette gives it a slightly more architectural look while still blending naturally into modern kitchens and living spaces.

From helping prepare meals and washing hands to brushing teeth and watching dinner being made, the Modustep brings toddlers safely to counter height so they can participate in everyday family life instead of watching from below.

When the day changes, so does the furniture. In seconds, the tower folds into a toddler-sized table and chair set for snacks, drawing, crafts, and quiet play.

One thoughtful piece designed to stay useful from first steps through age 6.

What age is the Modustep suitable for?

Suitable from when your child can stand independently, typically around 12–18 months, through age 6.

The 24 cm first step is designed for early toddler climbing, while the durable birch plywood construction comfortably supports older children as well.

Does it really fold into a toddler table and chair?

Yes. In seconds, with no tools required. The transformation uses secure metal hinges and safety latches for safe everyday use.

How is the Modustep different from the Sleekstep and Securestep?

All three leg&go kitchen towers offer the same functionality, safety standards, folding mechanism, materials, and age suitability. The difference is purely the silhouette and design style.

Modustep features a geometric, modular-inspired profile. Sleekstep has a more open minimalist silhouette, while Securestep has a more enclosed shape.

Is the finish safe for children?

Yes. The Modustep is finished with child-safe, non-toxic water-based varnish. All surfaces are smooth and rounded for everyday toddler use.

Is the Modustep stable and safe for toddlers?

Yes. The Modustep is designed with a wide, stable base, secure locking hinges, and rounded edges for everyday toddler use. Adult supervision is still recommended during use.

What’s the weight capacity?

50 kg / 110 lbs in tower mode, and 75 kg / 165 lbs in table-and-chair mode.

Will it fit under a standard kitchen counter?

The Modustep is 90 cm tall in tower mode. Most European kitchen countertops sit around 90–92 cm high, placing your child comfortably at counter level for supervised participation.

Does it require assembly?

Yes. The Modustep ships flat-packed for compact delivery. All hardware is included. Assembly typically takes 15–20 minutes using a manual screwdriver.

Does it slide on tiled or wooden floors?

The Modustep is designed for indoor household flooring. For particularly slippery surfaces, we recommend placing it on a stable, dry floor and supervising younger toddlers during use.

Where is it made?

Designed and crafted in-house by the leg&go team in Cēsis, Latvia.

How do I clean it?

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and warm water. Avoid soaking, harsh chemicals, and abrasive cleaners. Air dry fully after cleaning.
