The finish is a child-safe natural wood protective wax — not paint, not lacquer — which adds a gentle sheen, repels moisture, and protects against everyday dirt without sealing the wood beneath a synthetic layer. Because this is genuine solid wood, small natural variations and resin spots may appear at the knots. That is not a defect — it is what real wood looks like, and it is what makes each cot slightly different from the next.

The YappyLong-Life system is what separates this from most cots at this price point. Four adjustable mattress heights take the base from 65 cm for easy newborn access down to 35 cm as the baby becomes more active. When the child is ready to climb in and out independently, four slats can be removed from the base rail — turning the cot into a low toddler bed without buying anything new.
