Muslin is one of the most breathable natural fabrics available — open-weave, lightweight, and soft enough for newborn skin from the first days. This canopy brings that material into the space directly above where babies sleep and children rest. The fabric is 100% muslin cotton, OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning it has been independently tested and confirmed free from harmful substances.

At 240 cm long with a 50 cm removable metal rim, it drapes with enough presence to frame a crib or floor bed without overwhelming a smaller nursery. The rim detaches for machine washing, making the whole thing straightforward to keep clean and rehang. An inner loop at the canopy centre allows a garland, mobile, or soft light to be added without affecting the structure. A quieter aesthetic than the Circus designs, and a softer hand than the Classic cotton — well suited to minimal and Scandinavian-inspired rooms.

What age is this canopy suitable for?

The canopy is suitable as a decorative piece from birth. It works above a newborn crib from the earliest weeks, transitions to a toddler or Montessori floor bed, and continues as a reading nook feature into the school years. It must be installed securely and positioned out of the child's reach at all times — it is a decorative piece, not a safety device.

What makes this canopy different from the Classic and Circus canopies?

The Muslin canopy uses a lightweight open-weave muslin cotton in various patterns with a removable metal rim — the softest and most lightweight drape of the three. The Classic canopy is plain cotton in solid colours and carries the additional GOTS organic certification. The Circus canopy uses a cotton and linen blend with illustrated or two-tone patterns. All three are OEKO-TEX certified and share the same dimensions.

No. The ruffle is not included.

What is the canopy made from, and is it safe above a baby's sleep space?

The canopy is made from 100% muslin cotton, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified — independently tested and confirmed free from harmful substances. Muslin is an open-weave, breathable natural fabric with no synthetic components. Always install securely and position well out of the child's reach.

How does the canopy attach?

The canopy attaches via fabric ties at the top, tied to a ceiling hook or looped over a bed frame. A ceiling hook requires one fixing point. Attaching over a bed frame requires no drilling. Always ensure the fixing is secure and the canopy hangs well clear of the child.

How do I wash it?

Remove the metal rim before washing. Machine wash the fabric at 30°C. Allow the fabric to dry completely before reattaching the rim. Do not tumble dry. Keep away from heat sources and open flames.

Can I hang anything inside the canopy?

Yes. There is a built-in inner loop for attaching a garland, mobile, or small decorative light. Always ensure anything hung inside is lightweight, securely attached, and kept out of the child's reach.
